Product Description
This Wild Sour Stingless Bee Honey is a rare natural treasure from the tropical rainforests of Xishuangbanna and Shangri-La, Yunnan, China.
The honey is produced by a unique species of stingless sour bees, which are much smaller than ordinary honeybees and naturally defenseless, relying on plant resin (propolis) for protection. These bees build their nests deep underground (1.5–2 meters) in untouched rainforest environments, making their honey extremely rare.
Unlike common honey, this honey has a distinct sweet-and-sour flavor, refreshing and smooth, loved by local forest-dwelling ethnic groups such as the Aini, Dai, and Jinuo people, who traditionally regard it as a natural nourishment.
Because the bees preferentially collect nectar from medicinal and wild plants, the honey retains a rich floral complexity and natural acidity, creating its signature taste.

Product Q&A (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q1: What makes this honey different from regular honey?
This honey is produced by rare stingless sour bees that live deep underground in tropical rainforests. It has a naturally sweet-and-sour flavor and is much rarer than common honey made by standard honeybees.
Q2: Why does the honey taste slightly sour?
The sour note is completely natural. Stingless sour bees preferentially collect nectar from wild medicinal plants, and their honey undergoes natural fermentation, resulting in a refreshing sweet-and-sour taste.
Q3: Is this honey raw and unprocessed?
Yes. This honey is 100% raw, unheated, unfiltered, and free from additives or preservatives, ensuring natural enzymes and nutrients are retained.
Q4: Where does this honey come from?
It is harvested from the tropical rainforests of Yunnan Province, China, including areas such as Xishuangbanna and Shangri-La, where the environment remains largely untouched.
Q5: Is this honey suitable for daily consumption?
Yes. It can be consumed daily by adults and children (over 1 year old), mixed with warm water, tea, or yogurt.
Q6: Can I use hot water to mix this honey?
To preserve natural enzymes, please do not use water hotter than 60°C (140°F).
Q7: Does this honey help after drinking alcohol?
Traditionally, local ethnic communities consume sour bee honey water after social drinking, as it is believed to be gentle on the stomach and comforting after alcohol consumption.
Q8: Is this honey sustainably harvested?
Yes. The honey is harvested in limited quantities from ecological rainforest zones, respecting traditional methods and natural bee populations.
Q9: Why is this honey so rare?
The stingless sour bees are a local, endangered species that nest underground and produce very small quantities of honey, making large-scale production impossible.
Q10: How is the honey packaged for international shipping?
The honey is carefully sealed and securely packed to ensure freshness and safety during worldwide delivery.
